Holy Freak!

I'm just going to come out and say it.  It's time you all know.  I'm a Provo All-Star!!  I can't believe this is my 6th year down here.  And I can't believe I just admitted that.  I'm pretty sure I know this place forward and back.  Not to mention that I've lived with 24 different people.  Can you believe that. 24!  Let me introduce them...

Lacy--picture this: nothing but the Christmas lights on and Lacy playing Christmas tunes on her harp (ahh!).  Always had a Dr. Pepper in hand (and always a different boy. haha).
Lyndsey--I've seen her pee her pants more than any other person on this planet.  Has anyone seen her Hairspray sweatshirt?? Pretty sure she wore it every day. p.s. we spied on her and her boyfriend.
Marielle--For two years we shared a bunk-bed and my kitchen has never been as clean since.  I miss her face.  We did everything together.  Drop it like it's hot!
Suzanne--Oh Suz!!  She never wanted us to call her that but I'm pretty sure she learned to love it.  I hope we didn't corrupt her too much.  NO.....we helped her.
Lisa--She says the funniest things in her sleep.  Oh man!!  And I'll never forget the toquito wars we had with her. I'm so glad I got to live with her.
Lindsey--Longest standing roommate.  We can't get enough of each other.  We had awesome cereal parties. Thus, she wins the award for best roommate ever!  Love you.
Kyla--Her and her Hawaiin boyfriend really took care of us while we were in Hawaii.  I really do owe them a huge thank you!
Girl--can't remember her name.  I don't think she was home much. I lived with her in Hawaii.  There maybe was even another girl that shared her room with her.  I can't remember!  But if so, that makes it a whooping 25!
Carly--A little Asian love. I never did get the $45 she owed me for gas/electric.
Holly--Honestly, the sweetest girl I've ever known. She had the cutest room and most comfortable bed.
Emma--Pretty sure she hated it when I'd swing the shower door open. So funny! I loved our late night chats.  I miss those.
Anna--My first and only non-member roommate.  Yep, she fell over in the shower one morning because she had been out having a little too much fun the night before.
Jen--She was always making yummy cake.  I think I gained 10 pounds that year. I could always count on her being there.
forgot her name--All I remember is that we shared a shower that joined our two rooms. I dreaded the noises I'd hear when she'd be in there.  I think I'm trying to block this time in my life from my memory. Yep, that's why I don't remember her name.
Mallory--Could we live more similar lives??  Probably not. Thanks for being there for me Mal!
Annette--She brought so much flair to the apartment not to mention a lot of house guests.  Those were lively times.
Lauren--One mintue she was buying something and the next she was trying to sell things because she had no money.  I love her.
Mickelle--What a shiz face :)  It's a term of endearment folks!
Natalie--She is so funny! I think I said that at least every day when I lived with her.
Jessica--Came and went just like the other but she'd at least stop and say hi.  She always wanted to set me up with her brother that was on a mission. Sorry, but no thanks.
Brianne--Never actually had a conversation with her.  Yep, I had to snoop in her room to actually find her name out.
Lindsey--Ever want cupcakes? She's amazing with frosting. I'm just saying.  I love the boy drama she brings to the apartment.  We need more of that!
Andrea--Did you know that I live with Taylor Swift??  Because I do. She's amazing on the guitar. Honestly, the cutest girl.  It made my day to hear her argue with her mom and sister one day.  She is human!
Paige--Has introduced me to so many wonderful things in the world.  Don't know what I'd do or where I'd be without her. Thanks Paige!

And some honorable mentions:
Tanner--There when I went to bed.  There when I woke up. Amazing.
Morgan--Proved that we CAN sleep two in a twin bed.
Jeff--Yep, slept on our floor for a good two weeks or so.  Come on...he was homeless!
Eddie--The little kitty we found in the parking lot.  Lived with us for less then a week.  I knew the second he peed on the lovesac he'd be asked to leave.
Duckies--One actually grew up to be a quite large duck.  They didn't last long either.  They're quaking kept us up at night.

Marielle, Me, Lacy, Lindsey, and Lyndsey

Me, Emma, and Marielle

Me and Morgan

Melody (friend...maybe future roommate), Natalie, and Lacy

Mallory (living my same life)

Lindsey, Andrea, Me, and the one and only Paige

I know...the pictures are super small and I need more.  They're on my parents computer :(

Where are they all now??....Off leaving handprints on more people's lives.

Why I LOVE New Moon

So what's the real reason why I love New Moon?

Is it because Edward glitters in the sun and you can't help but be intoxicated by his beauty? haha

Is it because you can yell out the most ridiculous things ever during the movie and everyone cheers?

Is it because of Jacob's amazing body?

Is it because of my favorite quote in the movie: "Age is just a number BABY!" (which I hope shows up on my Birthday cake in 2 weeks).

Is it because I one day hope to find my own Jacob? Someone that will say to me: "I know he hurt you, but I promise to NEVER hurt you."

I'll be honest...I read a few of the books and didn't really love them.  I actually didn't even see the movie Twilight until a couple weeks ago (which I actually really liked---maybe because I had it built up to be the worst movie ever).  Honestly...I wasn't dying to see it.  But my roommates invited me and besides throwing awesome parties together I really don't do a ton with them.  It's my own fault.  I always fill my nights with blind dates and kinda just do my own thing.

BUT HONESTLY....Going to New Moon was one of the funnest nights I've ever had because of them....

Yes, we stayed up late one night making t-shirts.

And yes, we even got two of our guy friends to come with us (they love it) and even made shirts.

Hanging out with my roommates was one of the funnest nights I've had in a long time.  I can't wait do it again.  Mark your calender June 29th......don't doubt that we'll be there!

It was a dark and stormy night...

SCARY STORY PARTY
Not quite sure what a scary story party is.  Well....it involves people coming to a party and taking turns telling scary stories.

Hundreds of candles as well as our DVD fireplace to set the ambiance.

Spooky treats.

This is me sharing the scariest story of your life.  (notice the fireplace behind me)

Everyone is SO scared.

Spooky!

AND of course....the after party!

How could I forget

What I REALLY miss most about working at the hospital.....
the Bathroom.
Yes, the Bathroom.  Is that weird??
It smelled SO GOOD.  Probably the best smell I've ever smelt.
It's true.  I would go to the Bathroom an excessive amount just so I could smell it.  AND YES, I would spend an extremely long time in there.  I'm sure many of you received texts from me, while on the job, in THE BATHROOM.  That's the only time I could sneak them in.  And it gave me an excuse to go in there.  I wish I could get the scent in my car.... bedroom....and anywhere else for that matter.  If any of you are ever in Provo, stop by the Bathroom, south building, ground floor, by the inpatient/outpatient rehab.  You won't regret it.
I miss it.

What I miss most....

I just finished an 8 week internship at the Utah Valley hospital.  And as much as I love free labor.....I really am going to miss it.

I'm going to miss NOON.  That's when I went out with all the PTs, OTs, my supervisor, and even sometimes "The" Doc and played soccer.  It was so much fun!!

I'm going to miss my patients.  They really made me so happy and I often had to hold myself back from bursting out in laughter. They're SO GREAT.
My favorite patient (who I talked about in an earlier post) amazingly got younger by the minute.  I might call it a case of Benjamin Button.
me: How old are you?
pt: Oh...I don't know. 64?  (mind you, he's 92)
***a mintue passes and I ask again***
me: How old are you?
pt:  63! Ya, I'm 63.

***the next day***
me:  So, what did you do today?
pt:  Oh, I went and visited my mom. (he didn't even leave the building!)
me:  Oh really....I'm suprised your mom is still alive.  How old is she?
pt: I think she's 65 or something.

***another conversation of ours***
me: Are you wearing glasses?
pt: yes, yes I am   (he's not)
me: Do you have your shoes on?
pt: ya, I do.  (he definitely doesn't)

I'm going to miss moments like this...
"Hey Jen, do you have time to do a swallow eval in room 2679?"
"Ya, I do.  I'll go right up and do it."
When I walk into the room I'm thinking....Man, this lady sures sleep awkwardly.  Dang, I'm going to have to wake another one up.  I hate this part. It takes like 5 minutes for them to be coherent.

I walk around the room to get a better view of her face AND........

Her name....Myra Maines!

I'm going to miss EVERYONE.  The physical therapists, speech therapists, nurses, and occupational therapists are all some of the funniest, nicest people I know.

I'm going to miss it.

Parties the WRIGHT way

Okay...I'm not married.  SO, WHY DO YOU HAVE A BLOG?....one might ask.  Well, I might not have a spouse and kids but I do have a family.  And they're freakin awesome.  They're my greatest times!!!

This is them.

You probably noticed that we're situated (or at least we tried to be situated) by color.  We planned it.  :)
That's how family pictures go right?!
This was our party at Memory Grove for Grandma's 77th Birthday Party and boy was it a party.
Happy Birthday Genius Grandma!!

Grandma got all kinds of fun gifts.  77 puzzle pieces, 77 G&Ps, 77 BBBs (you know exactly what those are if you're a Wright), 77 york peppermint patties, 77 "Love yous," 77saftey pins, 77 reason why Jeff and Marti and the boys love her, 77 crossword puzzles, and 77 marbles (just in case she lost hers).

But the parties don't stop there. The very next week we had a Hat party for my aunt Rhonda who is going through chemotherapy.  So we all brought hats, scarfs, headbands (and one huge ugly wig) as gifts to keep her cute and warm this winter.   And we wrote inspirational thoughts and fun jokes for her "Rainy Day Jar," which she can read if she's ever having a downer day.  We love you Rhonda and are praying for your fast recovery!  I can't wait to see which hat you decide to wear next.

AND.....next week I'm having a shoe party!!  I wear a 6 1/2.  :)  I can't wait to see what everyone brings!
I might even try out a boyfriend party.  What do you think?  Everyone bring a boy, I'll try them out and if I don't like them I'll send them back!!   It could work.  Rhonda got some way cute hats!
